Surprised? Chetan Sharma has been retained in the BCCI’s new selection panel and will continue as a chairman. Chetan Sharma, who was sacked a few months ago by the BCCI , was reappointed as the chief selector by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising of Ms Sulakshana Naik, Mr Ashok Malhotra, and Mr Jatin Paranjape. Fans were furious with the decision as under Chetan Sharma’s tenure as chief selector, India had failed to keep a consistent set of players on the field which cost them two major titles in one calendar year – Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.
