Seven months after the release of ‘Pathan’, Shah Rukh Khan is back on the big screen. Shah Rukh’s ‘Pan Indian’ film ‘Jawan’ was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu in theatres on Thursday, September 7. Tamil director Atlee made his debut in Bollywood with this film. South actress Nayanthara and Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi played the roles of heroine and main villain as well. Shah Rukh created a storm with ‘Pathan’ seven months ago, that storm has now become a cyclone with ‘Jawan’.
‘Jawan’ has created records outside India as well. In international theatres. It was released in a minimum of 4,500 theatres. On the other hand, the number of the film in India is 5500. As a result, the film was released in 10,000 theatres around the world. ‘Pathan’ got 2700 hall in overseas market. The film has broken the record of ‘Pathan’ in advance tickets. 32 crore rupees advance tickets for ‘Pathan’ were sold in India before its release. ‘Jawan’ has sold more than 32.47 crore rupees in tickets. Besides, the amount of advance ticket sales in the foreign market is 18.7 crore rupees. Altogether, ‘Jawan’ has collected Rs 51 crore 17 lakh before its release.
‘Jawan’ has been made on a budget of 300 crore rupees. It is the highest-budget movie in Shah Rukh’s career. Earlier ‘Pathan’ was made for 250 crore rupees. The film ‘Jawan’ is produced by Shah Rukh’s own company Red Chillies Entertainment. The film ‘Pathan’ was a commercial success, the critics claimed that the story was not very good. Now the ‘Jawan’ movie silenced all the critics. The first show of the movie in India was at five in the morning. After watching, the audience left the hall with satisfaction. And got 9/10 ratings from critics. Almost all film critics are calling the film a ‘blockbuster’.
