Prime Minister Modi launched 5G test beds in the country on the completion of 25 years of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. This project costing 220 crores has been prepared under the leadership of IIT Madras.

Today is a very important day in the direction of 5G internet service. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 5G Test Bed in the country on the occasion of the completion of Silver Jubilee of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). The 5G test bed project has been jointly prepared by 8 institutes led by IIT Madras.

Modi was present as the chief guest in this function through video conferencing. On this occasion, PM Modi also described India as the world’s largest mobile manufacturing hub. He said that the number of mobile manufacturing units in the country has increased from 2 to more than 200. Along with this, the PM said in this event that by the end of this decade, 6G internet service will also be started in India.

In this program organized on the occasion of completion of 25 years of TRAI, PM also mentioned about the dominance of India’s mobile manufacturing in the world. PM Modi said that India is currently the world’s largest mobile manufacturing hub. Along with this, the Prime Minister said that now the number of mobile manufacturing units in the country has increased from 2 to more than 200.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked about 6G service at TRAI’s Silver Jubilee event. He said that efforts are on by the government to start 6G service in the country by the end of this decade. He said that connectivity will determine the pace of progress of the country in the 21st century. On the other hand, citing an estimate about 5G service, the PM said, “5G is going to contribute $ 450 billion to India’s economy in the coming one and a half decades. This will increase the pace of progress and job creation.

Modi said that the country’s own 5G norm, which has been made in the form of 5G, is a matter of great pride for the country. It will play a big role in bringing 5G to the villages of the country. The Prime Minister said that 5G technology is going to bring a positive change in the governance, ease of living and ease of doing business in the country.

This will give impetus to agriculture, health, education, infrastructure and progress in every field. Modi also talked about optical fiber. He said that before 2014, even 100 gram panchayats in India did not have optical fiber connectivity, but today about two and a half lakh gram panchayats have been connected with broadband.

PM Modi said that 5G technology is also going to bring positive changes in the governance of the country, ease of living, ease of doing business. This will boost growth in agriculture, health, education, infrastructure and logistics, in every sector. This will also increase the facility and many employment opportunities will also be created.

Prime Minister Modi said that it is estimated that in the coming 15 years, 5G is going to benefit the Indian economy by $ 450 million. The task force is working to start the 6G system by the end of this decade. He said that the 2G era was of desperation, despair, policy paralysis and corruption. From there we have moved to 3G, 4G, 5G and 6G and this is happening with full speed and transparency.

He said that I congratulate all the colleagues associated with this project, our IITs. The country’s own 5G standard has been made in the form of 5G, it is a matter of great pride for the country. It will play a big role in bringing 5G technology to the villages of the country. PM Modi further said that connectivity in 21st century India will determine the pace of progress of the country. Therefore connectivity has to be modernized at every level.
