Rinku Singh, a promising cricketer from Uttar Pradesh, has made a mark with his sensible batting in 15 T20 matches since his international debut. The KKR star, known for his outstanding finishing skills, boasts an impressive record with 356 runs, an average of 89, and a strike rate of 176.24.
Team India was looking for legendary finishers like MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh. That hope was finally fulfilled with the arrival of Rinku Singh. Rinku has played many sensible knocks in his small international career. In the third T20I against Afghanistan, Rinku showcased his versatility by coming in to bat early in the fifth over. Partnering with captain Rohit Sharma, he contributed significantly to a challenging 190-run partnership. He scored an undefeated 69 runs in 39 balls.
Despite his achievements, Rinku might face competition for his spot in the T20 World Cup squad, particularly if Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya are included. Yasaswi Jaiswal has replaced Shubman Gill as Rohit’s opening partner, with Virat Kohli in his usual position. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya are expected in the middle order. The problem arises at number six, where three contenders – Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharma, and Sanju Samson are available for wicketkeeper-batsman spot. If Rinku is chosen at number seven, India has to play with only four bowlers. which is not possible.
