Wife and Lover Found Guilty in Meerut Husband Murder Trial

After many court meetings and talking to witnesses, the court in Meerut decided that Muskan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla are guilty of killing Saurabh Rajput. The court will decide how long they will stay in jail on October 14.

This case made news because Saurabh Rajput’s body was found inside a big blue drum filled with cement, after he went missing. What Happened to Saurabh Rajput? Saurabh Rajput was a sailor who came back home to Meerut from London in February 2025. The prosecution says that his wife Muskan and Sahil planned to kill him.

They say that on the night of March 3, 2025, Saurabh was given medicine to make him sleepy, and then Sahil came to the house. They attacked him with sharp weapons, and he died. After that, they cut his body into pieces and put them inside a blue drum filled with cement.

They then traveled to Himachal Pradesh before coming back to Meerut. Saurabh’s brother filed a complaint on March 18, 2025. The police went to the house and found Saurabh’s body inside the cement-filled drum. Muskan and Sahil were caught soon after. The police collected evidence like medical reports and forensic tests.

Witnesses also told the court what they knew about the case. The doctors said Saurabh died from losing a lot of blood and shock. During the trial, Muskan and Sahil’s lawyers said there was no proof they killed Saurabh and that they might have been falsely accused. But the prosecution used other types of evidence, like medical and forensic reports, to prove their case.

The court decided that Muskan and Sahil are guilty of murder and hiding or destroying evidence. The case took more than a year, with many court meetings and witnesses sharing what they knew. The police also gave important evidence to help solve the case.
