Team India’s former captain Virat Kohli’s bat is silent in IPL 2022. He is fighting for runs. A day earlier, against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kohli was once again out on the very first ball. This was the third time in this season that Kohli was the victim of a golden duck. After returning to the pavilion without Kohli opening the account, the demand for resting him has started rising again. But, former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar does not agree with this. On the contrary, he even gave a warning to Kohli.

Sunil Gavaskar said on Star Sports about Kohli, “Break does not mean that he (Kohli) will miss India’s matches. Playing for India should be his first and top priority. It is very clean and straightforward. I believe that if you do not play at all, then how will you get lost form? By sitting in the change room, your form will not come back. The more you play, the more likely you are to return to the old colors.”

‘We all want to see Kohli score runs’

The former Indian captain further said, “You go and ask all over India, whoever knows cricket and follows this game, everyone will say that we want Kohli’s form back for India. So you cannot take a break from playing for Team India. You want Kohli to start scoring runs for India. That’s what we all want. We all want to see him score big runs again.”
